A 3 Year campaign for the future of Beaver County.
Playing for Keeps will establish a brand new pool for the Beaver area and surrounding communities in Beaver County.
Located at historic Shaw Park, adjacent to Beaver Area High School, Shaw Park will be transformed into a catalyst for community connection and engagement.
OUR STORY
Partnerships
The Shaw Park Project is a joint effort between the Beaver Borough, Beaver County Foundation, and community members serving on the Shaw Park Committee.
PARK PLAN
The park plan is a conceptual design based on the Beaver Borough’s 2020 scoping study completed by Environmental Planning & Design.
The specifics of the remaining elements, including the exact design of the new pool, will be finalized as the campaign progresses and before construction begins.

This year the Beaver Borough began renovating the historic bathhouse to turn it into a community space to open in Summer 2024!
The community center and performance lawn are being taken on by the Beaver Borough and no money from The Shaw Park Project’s Fund at the Beaver County Foundation is being used for these park aspects. Visit our FAQs page for more info.

Funding for the Pool Phase will be obtained through a 3-year (2023-25), $3.9MM campaign with a multi-prong funding strategy: Corporate Sponsorships, Private Giving, and Public Grants, as well as Borough completion of specific park features.
Construction will begin at the conclusion of the 3-year fundraising campaign in 2026.
